TRiM (Trauma Risk in Management) for Law
Wellness for Law UK is an initiative of Rachel Spearing, a practising barrister and Bencher of the Inn who is engaged with academic study and support for wellbeing in the legal profession. The co-founder of the Wellbeing at the Bar project, Master Spearing is also the Master of Wellbeing for The Inner Temple.
For the third year, the Inn proudly sponsored the Wellness for Law Forum. This Wellness Forum reviewed the steps taken by other professionals, including the military, police, medical and CPS, to manage the risks to their colleagues, to respond to the challenges of their work and rehabilitate those who become affected.
The Forum provided guidance from leading experts, presentations and panel discussions with policy, information and actions to support the Bar, Clerks, the Judiciary, and anyone with an interest in wellbeing for the profession. The Forum also presented best practice for supporting colleagues with LGBTQ+ inclusivity and safeguarding practices.
