We are delighted to announce that we are a Supporter of Charter for Black Talent in Finance and the Professions, which was launched at the end of October (Black History Month).
Black Talent Charter
The aim of the Charter is to promote equality of opportunity for Black people in finance and the professions, and more can be read about it at blacktalentcharter.com.
In becoming a Supporter of the Charter, the Inn reaffirms its commitment to tackling racism in the profession and to supporting our diverse, global membership. This year, we have taken the following steps:
- Running Qualifying Sessions for students with a specific focus on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
- Offering Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Training to all volunteers
- Creating specific events for BAME members and students to share their experiences, for example our In Focus event in November
- Undertaking a comprehensive Equality, Diversity and Inclusion consultation, allowing members to share their experiences and informing our future activities
