The Inner Temple Mooting Society

The Inner Temple Mooting Society is a student-led organisation, responsible for moot training and competitions. The society is open to all Inner Temple students, regardless of previous mooting experience. We define student member as any member who is yet to obtain pupillage.

The Society is run by a student committee comprised of the following individuals:

Recruitment for the 2025/2026 committee will be announced in summer 2025. 

We regularly need timekeepers and clerks for mooting competitions. Volunteering as a timekeeper or clerk is a great way to improve your understanding of mooting formalities, and learn from other mooters. We regularly update our social media sites when these volunteering positions open, so check our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram throughout the year for more information.

We are very grateful to have had the support of a number of organisations who have contributed to allow us to run such high quality events. Organisations who have sponsored our competitions recently include:

If you are an Inner Temple student member and would like to become a member of the Inner Temple Mooting Society and take part in the numerous opportunities the society has to offer, please contact make sure you complete the Student Society opt-in form HERE so that the Education and Training Department can notify us.
