Join us for our fascinating full-day conference, New Frontiers: Open Source Evidence. We will explore the different types of open source and user-generated evidence, including social media, electronic and rap evidence, their authentication and admissibility, and how they have been used in the courtroom globally and in the UK. Issues of accountability and disinformation will be examined, as well as the likely impact of AI on user-generated evidence in criminal proceedings.
Featuring keynote speaker Eliot Higgins (Bellingcat), and panel chairs Prof Yvonne McDermott Rees (TRUE project) and Her Excellency Judge Korner CMG KC. Panellists include representatives from the Global Legal Action Network, WITNESS, the Centre for Information Resilience and the International Criminal Court.
There is no charge for this event.
PLEASE NOTE BOOKINGS FOR THIS EVENT HAVE NOW CLOSED. Please email dmiller@innertemple.org.uk to join the waiting list, stating whether you are interested in an online or in-person place.
Online places will include access to the keynote, panel sessions and Q&A (which make up most of the schedule) but not the smaller group workshops.
Please note this event is not a Qualifying Session.
