Reception is open weekdays 9am – 5pm
The Treasury Office for admissions, car permits and merchandise, in person sales, will generally be available from 9am– 1pm and 2pm – 5pm
The Education & Training Department is open Monday to Friday 10am – 4pm
The Library is open Monday – Thursday 9am – 8pm and Friday 9am – 7pm, for Saturday Opening, please check the timetable for details
The Pegasus Bar is open Mondays - Fridays: 9am – 10pm
Lunch in Hall is open to members of the four Inns, residents and chambers' staff, and is available Monday to Friday, 12.30pm to 2pm
The Garden is open to the public weekday lunchtimes, 12.30pm – 3pm.
Pedestrian gates are closed at night with fob access only.
Facilities at the Inn will be closed during Easter, Summer and Christmas periods and during bank holidays in 2025.
City Thameslink (National Rail) is a 8-10 minute walk away.
Blackfriars Station (National Rail and Hammersmith and City, Circle and District Underground lines) is a 8-10 minute walk away.
Routes 15, 26, 76 341, N15, N21, N26, N63, N89, N199, N550 and N551 stop at bus stops E and W on Fleet Street, between Chancery Lane and Fetter Lane.
Blackfriars Millenium Pier is on Victoria Embankment, between Blackfriars Bridge and Middle Temple.
Pedestrian and vehicular access (subject to parking charges) is permitted for those with business within the Inn.
Parking is available for members, residents and visitors. The lowest archway is 3.3m. Please see the parking section for full details regarding fees, accessible parking and terms of use.
The Inn is within the Congestion Charge zone.
Please note that cycling on the Estate is restricted. The Inn has cycle racks by 2, 8 and 11 King’s Bench Walk, 2 and 5 Paper Buildings and behind 2 Crown Office Row (entrance via the Carpmael Archway). Bicycles must not be locked to any railings within the Estate.
The Transport for London cycle hire docking stations closest to the Inn are on Temple Gardens, Tallis Street and Arundel Street.
Guide dogs are welcome at the Inn.
Non-residents of the Inn must not bring dogs into the Inn and are not allowed to bring dogs into the garden (except guide dogs).
Baby changing facilities are installed within the accessible WC in the main reception area of the Treasury Building.
Disabled parking bays are available on site for blue badge holders only. They are three bays outside the main entrance to the Treasury Building, two on Crown Office Row and one by the old library entrance to the east of the building, as well as two more outside 4 Paper Buildings.
The bays can be used free of charge provided the users contact the Treasury Office in person, by email or telephone to request a permit and show a valid blue badge.
Professional tenants and members with a blue badge who frequently park are eligible to apply for a 75% discounted members’ annual permit. Please apply to the Treasury Office for details by emailing members@innertemple.org.uk
The Inn operates 24/7 security. CCTV is used on the Inn’s estate and images are monitored and recorded for the purposes of crime prevention and detection and the safety of persons within The Inner Temple. The system is controlled by the Inn.
