'Challenging the Truth: Effective Cross-Examination in International Trials and Arbitrations'
A panel of international practitioners and judges will present on cross-examination in international criminal cases, arbitral proceedings and from the civil perspective. Covering how best to approach cross-examination of witnesses of fact vs experts and witness proofing, procedural fairness, differing evidentiary standards, and highlighting distinguishing features of cross-examination practice. Each speaker will provide a case study on a challenging aspect or example of cross-examination, which will be circulated to all guests in advance for information and open discussion at the event.
